Quantitative data collected were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and t-test while qualitative data were content analyzed. Findings revealed that there is a significant difference in Social Studies teachers’ implementation of Continuous Assessment in Junior Secondary Schools in terms of comprehensiveness and attainability. There is difference between public and private junior secondary schools in the provision of infrastructural facilities, equipment, materials and funds for the implementation of Continuous assessment. Qualitative finding revealed that teachers said that the level of clarity, comprehensiveness and validity of C.A they give to their students is very high which helps the students’ academic performance in Social Studies.
