Effect of Absence of Afro-Surinamese Fathers on the Academic Performance of their Children

The purpose of the study was to ascertain how absence of fathers of Afro-Surinamese descent influences the educational performance of their children. The research design was a cross-sectional survey research design which assessed the academic performance of children with or without an Afro Surinamese father, either at home or absent.
